Love that dog is a very good poetry book! When I read it with my class, I was amazed! It's mostly about a boy named Jack who starts hating poetry in the beggining, then towards the middle he starts to like poetry more and more. Mrs.Strechberry, Jack's teacher reads poetry everyday in class, when Jack starts writing he uses some of the parts that Mrs.Strechbrerry used. He says that he was inspired by the poet.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT LOVE THAT DOG IS THAT JACK FEELS THAT HE IS BAD AT WRITING POEMS BUT THEM HE STARTS TO LIKE POETY BECAUSE HIS TEACHER READS HIM A NEW KIND OF POEM EACH DAY AND HE STARTS TO WRITE POEMS AND LIKES IT.

Love That Dog was about a young boy named jack and his class being assigned a poetry assighment. Jack started out not fund of poetry but he started getting the hang of things of poetry. Then in the middle Jack got used to poetry and started going through the process. At the end Jack got the real hang of poetry he understanded the process now. Jakc met his hero of poetry Mr. Walter Dean Myers. The story really really moved me through the story. It really mached the title of the book "Love That Dog a novel" I really got the pull of love that dog and i was very intersed in the book. The book was very emotional, it had lots of laughter.
