I love your book Love That Dog. I learned how to write shape poems and I LOVE them. This book also tought me how to look at poems. Now I don't think of poems as just rhyming and being funny. Now I look at them as discribing whatever your going to write about. This book also inspired me to write more poems. Mrs. Cunninghams class and Mrs Shanahans class are seeing which class can write better shape poems. Your book inspired alot of people. The feelings I have about your book, Love That Dog, are creative, I like how you put metafores and symalyies, some of the things are funny, you spent allot of time writing poems for people. I now use your ideas of symalyies and metafores like bark, bark, barking. I am glad you wrote that book so I can get some ideas of writing better and how to write better. I learnd so much about writing.

Dear Sharon Creech,
I loved the book you wrote called love that dog. When our class read it I thought that it was so amazing that , First Jack doesn't want to write poetry then he's teacher reads poems and he gets inspired by them and takes phrase's from the poems and tries to make his own. I also got inspired by the poems and now i feel like writing more and more poetry. in class on the wiki we were taking the poem that Walter Dean Myers wrote, but were doing what Jack did were making up our own poem with it. Mines the one with the bird and kangaroo.

Wow at first I thought Love That Dog would be like all the other lame books but it was toatally awsome . Do you know all those poets in the book ? How did you come up with the title and what inspred you to write Love That Dog ? Anyway your book really connected with me because I love dogs and my nieghbors dog got run over by a blue car blue car spletterd with mud speeding down the rode . Your book taught me and tons of other kids concrete poems and shape poems . Shape poems and concrete poems are my favorite because they are cool and easy .

your book was very funny. You taught me what concrete poem are. I didn't even know they were poems. I never liked poetry but now I know that poetry can be fun. When we finished reading your book we got to tell our buddys that are 2nd grade what shape poems are and they were very interested in it and we made are own. Our buudys learned what poems are to they were just learning about them. So I hope we can do more about them from your other book HATE THAT CAT.
